Holding forth the Word Of Life
The ministry of Mission To Catholics began in 1973 as the founder, converted Roman Catholics priest, Bart Brewer, was being invited by various churches to present his personal testimony of salvation.
It was about a year after leaving the priesthood and Roman Catholicism that Bart met and married his wife, Ruth. While taking a class in Justification by Faith, he understood the huge disparity between what he had always been taught about salvation and what is actually taught in Scripture. Once his spiritual eyes were opened, he repented of sin and good works and received the completed sacrifice of Jesus Christ as his only means of salvation, becoming
Biblically born again. Bart often expressed immense gratitude toward those who helped him understand Biblical Salvation, saying that had he died as a Roman Catholic priest he would certainly have been eternally lost. In his great desire to reach out to Roman Catholics, Mission To Catholics was born and he was ordained as a Baptist minister,
Over the years, Bart and Ruth ministered in all but two of the United States and more than forty countries. Through the ministry of MISSION TO CATHOLICS they produced numerous tracts, booklets, audio tapes and videos — all designed to be helpful in reaching Roman Catholics for Biblical Salvation. Copies of his excellent book, PILGRIMAGE FROM ROME, have enjoyed wide distribution in several languages as well as more than a million of his signature tract SCRIPTURAL TRUTHS FOR ROMAN CATHOLICS, also in booklet form. Since Bart’s passing, the ministry of Mission To Catholics has continued through the information provided, without charge, through MTC.org and Mission To Catholics.com.
Christ is the Only Way of Salvation
Mission To Catholics International was established to compliment and serve Fundamental Bible teaching churches in the task of reaching Roman Catholics for Biblical Christianity. We are convinced that Roman Catholicism is the most neglected and, perhaps the most misunderstood and feared, mission field today.
